Gentle Hatha Yoga

Mondays 9:30-10:30am

Literary Institute Hall, Urunga

Introducing Yoga with Gentleness - a mindful, movement-based yoga class in the Hatha Yoga tradition. This class will invite strength, flexibility and softness into your body as we gradually build our practice from a steady foundation. This class is especially suited to beginners, those returning to yoga or anyone curious to explore gentle movement with awareness. Classes will include a variety of standing, seated, balance and laying postures, with options offered to meet individual bodies and needs.

All are welcome, just as you are.

Yin Yoga and Sound Bath

5:30-6:45pm

Tuesdays - School of Arts Hall, Urunga

Wednesdays - Literary Institute Hall, Urunga

Yin Yoga is a restorative, floor based practice. We take time to gently move into each shape, then stay for several minutes. Blankets, bolsters and blocks are often used to support your body as your muscles are invited to relax and soften. Options are given in each shape to suit different bodies and meet you where you are in the moment. Each class concludes with a long, soothing sound bath, featuring crystal singing bowls and native American flute to carry you home to your heart and help integrate your practice.

Suited to a wide range of people and age groups who are comfortable being on the floor.
